Christmas Casual

I am so stoked for Christmas! I'm looking forward to taking a big breather from a crazy couple months at work, and for Ryan to finally come down from the high-stress of finals week. I can't believe how fast the year 2016 flew by, it seems like we were just at NYE banging pots and pans celebrating the beginning of 2016. It's true when they say that the days are long, but the years are short. Am I getting old?! haha

We are heading down to California for the week to de-frost from this 30 degree weather, brrr! This means breaking out the swimsuits and hanging in the jacuzzi every night. Sounds so cozy :)

This look is a casual nod to the holiday season, since it's not bursting at the seams with reds and greens. I have a fun pop of red with the strappy block heel from Shoedazzle, and a little glitz with my agate necklace from Geode in the Rough (my new fave)!

What are you looking forward to with the holidays coming up? Traveling anywhere?

Cozy Plaid

This outfit is from that few weeks where summer is barely turning into Fall, and you so desperately want to wear jeans and boots. Right after this shoot I took off those boots because I was sweating so much haha! Crazy how much can change in just a couple of months.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I'm stoked for the chilly sweater weather and loads of turkey stuffing. Anyone doing anything exciting for the Thanksgiving holiday? Or even better, Black Friday?! ;)

October Leaves

It's now that time of year where my hair only has to look decent from my ears down. Beanies for the win! It wasn't until after this shoot that I realized I pretty much blend in with the surroundings, I guess you could say that I was inspired by nature :D

This Friday is Ryan's 30th birthday, which is NUTS. I remind him all the time how old he is getting, even though 30 isn't old whatsoever haha We are going to the Jazz/Lakers game and will be in the lower bowl (thanks DevMtn!), and we are pumped. Dippin' Dots for daysssss.

Excited for birthday and Halloween celebrations this weekend, gonna go out of October with a bang! :)

Breezy Summer

During the summer I like to stock up breezy dresses, it gets too hot and I need something easy to throw on! I got inspiration from my friend Jess over at Golden Swank and totally copied her once I saw how amazing she looked in this dress!

I paired these 70's style stack heels from Shoedazzle with this low-key dress to amp up the look, and love how it turned out! Plus I just got another lash fill from Layers 'n Lashes and now I feel all sorts of glamorous :) Hope everyone has a glam weekend!

Neutral Game Strong

I have become such a huge fan of neutrals, because I can wear olive/white/black/leopard print with everything! I'm drawn towards good quality pieces in neutral colors because I know I can wear them over and over. I'm loving this faux wrap blouse from Ravati because it's comfy but also makes me feel classy and dressed up.

The creator behind Ravati has been in the retail business for 10+ years and a manager for 7 years, so she really knows her stuff! Kyla makes a point to stock her online boutique with classy pieces at an affordable cost. She knows that it only takes a few well-thought details on a blouse to make your day :) My other favorite Ravati pieces are this blue snakeskin bucket bag, dark wash skinny crop jeans, and these neutral color block wedges!

To wrap it up, I'll just say that these pants are AMAZING AND YOU NEED THEM. They are so comfortable and still look pulled together, so I'll definitely be picking up the black pair soon. I love them so much that I'm going to post another look with them this week, a more casual day-to-day styling of these pants. And for the $38 price tag at Nordstrom? Not too shabby ;) Hope you all have a happy Monday!

In Need of Inspiration

Is blogging becoming a dying breed? Instagram seems so much easier, bite size, and not as intimidating as creating a blog post. Maybe it's because I already stare at a computer screen for most of the day at work and I get home and want to veg. Regardless, I still miss it.

I'm in need of making new blog business cards through Moo because my old ones are starting to seem outdated. I am also feeling the itch to completely re-vamp my blog design. Maybe that will inspire more posts? :)

Weekend Brunchin'

This past Saturday morning I ventured out with my best girls to try a new restaurant called Baked that recently opened in Provo. It's a bakery and cafe, so we had to indulge in treats with our sandwiches ;)

We each tried out different sandwiches and enjoyed everything on our plates! Since it was all our first time into the restaurant, the manager gave us all free loaves of bread. Ummm, SO COOL

After we had eaten I shared with my girls the amazingness of Shoedazzle and had them play rock-paper-scissors for the free Shoedazzle credit ;) I was so excited to share one of my favorite shoe sites with my best friends! Shoedazzle not only has adorable shoes but their customer service is top notch!

After lunch I wanted to show off my Shoedazzle wedges and the girls hopped in for an impromptu photoshoot, I guess you can never have enough pictures ;)

These girls are the best!! Need to start brunching more often because it is a total blast :) Happy almost weekend!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

This title was the first thing that came to my head, but man oh man it was NOT easy waking up this morning. I've been working a lot lately to prepare for a week-long conference that my work is hosting which starts tomorrow. I don't mind the work at all, because I am so stoked to see how awesome this conference is gonna be! But 4 hours of screwing together tables does take it's toll in the morning ;)

I've been watching a lot of these braid videos to mix it up every once in a while. I don't have my fingers quite used to all the different braids, but at least I'm working on it! Today I tried the Pulled Apart Dutch Fishtail, which was actually pretty easy but I need to work on incorporating my side bangs a bit tighter so they don't loosen up so easy.

These shoes make look like death height but they are seriously SO COMFY. I'm getting another pair in cognac as soon as they come back into stock. They are going to be my new go-to shoe for the warmer weather. Speaking of warmer weather...I'm going to go enjoy it right now. Happy Sunday! :)
