I am absolutely loving that we are in the height of summer! It means the beach when we're visiting California, splash pads with the nieces/nephew, and lazy pool days. Nothing better than throwing on a cute outfit, and catching up with friends by the water. It also means that we need to focus on being hydrated 24/7 while playing out in the sun! I don't know about you, but as much as I love being outside, the heat definitely makes me feel depleted. I love reaching for my favorite vitaminwater flavors to help me feel refreshed, and was inspired by the Rise flavor to create this poolside look!

This is one of my favorite dresses since it has white on white embroidery at the top and is so flowy. It can go from poolside to taco night very easily! I went with a tangerine liquid lip color to complement my Rise vitaminwater and threw in some blue and gold accents to jazz everything up. 

My go-to vitaminwater flavors are Rise, Squeezed, and Power-C. Throw some ice in a bucket with these flavors and you've got a party! They taste amazing and help replenish your energy with electrolytes. This is especially important when you're hanging out in the sun all day :)

Red, White, and Blue

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! Ryan and I go all-out every year to celebrate our country. Our usual tradition is to float down the Provo River on the 4th, but since the water is so high this year we probably won't risk it since I'm not a great swimmer haha 

We're looking at doing a family BBQ, paddle board in Deer Creek Reservoir, and enjoy all the Freedom Festival activates Provo has going on all weekend. Provo goes crazy with hot air balloons, Stadium of Fire, carnivals, you name it!

I snagged this dress from Target a few weeks back cause it's some comfy, and it goes perfect with my fireworks Woven Pear socks! They are total dyna-mite ;)

What screams summer more than a crisp white dress or blouse?! When I was getting my hair done by Nicole, I came across some new clothing pieces in the Amara Day Spa & Salon and just pounced on this blouse! It's airy and has fun details on the front, I feel like I need to be on a tropical vacay with this top! (Let's be real, I always feel like I need to be on a tropical vacation haha). Plus these jeans from Pink Blush are SO dang soft and comfy! 

We are planning our family trip to Yosemite in a few weeks, our last hoo-rah before school starts for BYU and for more cohorts at DevMountain. I'm excited to get outside to do some hiking, kayaking, and biking! You guys have any more summer vacations planned before the Fall?

Breezy Summer

During the summer I like to stock up breezy dresses, it gets too hot and I need something easy to throw on! I got inspiration from my friend Jess over at Golden Swank and totally copied her once I saw how amazing she looked in this dress! 

I paired these 70's style stack heels from Shoedazzle with this low-key dress to amp up the look, and love how it turned out! Plus I just got another lash fill from Layers 'n Lashes and now I feel all sorts of glamorous :) Hope everyone has a glam weekend!

There are days when I'm talking to people all day and it just wears on me! While I'm typically an extrovert and enjoy chatting with people, I relish my time alone to re-charge and de-stress. We are having a blast down here on our California summer vacation! We've hit the beach and pool a couple times over, as it's a staple of summertime activities. Ryan and I both wear contacts and have pretty sensitive eyes. Sunglasses & Hat for Sun Protection

Floppy hats and sunglasses are a great excuse to buy fun summer accessories, since they are also practical! It protects your face and eyes from damaging sun rays. 

Lots of Water!

Since it's gotten so hot, I can't seem to gulp down enough water! It's also a great idea to have a few water bottles on hand. Better yet, if you can bring a cooler full of ice and water bottles, then are set to go for a fun day in the sun.

Boho Style with Sorrelli

I love wearing loose fitting boho-style looks during the summer. It's so easy, comfy, and fun during the warmer months! With this more casual look, I like to amp it up with glitzy jewels like mine from Sorrelli. These bangles and hoops are so delicate, yet fun, with the colored jewels.

The purple bangle and hoops are from the African Violet Collection that Sorrelli recently released online, isn't it gorgeous!? When I wear them, I can't help but stare at the luminescent jewels all day :)

Plus, these tassel sandals have quickly become a part of my go-to wardrobe for summer. I mean c'mon. Colored tassels, textured sandals, AND lace-ups? Can't. Resist.
