Fresh Air

Just pulled out the bucket of my spring/summer clothes from the attic (let's be real my brother Evan is a saint and traipsed up to the attic for them), and it's like a birthday present to myself! All these fun pieces I have forgotten about this past year, and I get to bring life back into them. These jeans are always a favorite, so comfortable and perfect to throw on with more feminine pieces! 

The Sunny Blues

Apparently these are the only jeans I own now. They are so comfortable and stylish, I can't quit them! We're currently on the countdown...6 weeks until we fly out to Switzerland! It's always exciting scheduling vacations, but sometimes it's almost more stressful prepping to leave that it's almost not worth it. Key word..almost ;)

I've been itching for the warmer weather to stay, and can't wait for all the fun outdoor activities. This summer my friend is getting me into roller-blading, and I'm looking forward to living all my 90s blading dreams :D

A couple months ago, I bought my first car! Poor Lucille died on the side of the road last summer and we've been saving up to pick up a newer ride. I loved the whole experience of picking out a car and negotiating a price. It was nerve-wracking and exciting all at the same time!

Utah's been having really weird weather, it feels more like the in-between of winter & spring. Since my mom started cosmetology school and has recently become a licensed cosmetologist (congrats mom!), I've been far more conscious of what I use in my beauty routine. A Cozy Winter Week

You know that weird week between Christmas and New Years where everyone is confused as to what they should be doing? I answered work emails, took excessive naps, and drank hot chocolate in my pj's! End of Summer Glitz

How are we almost to the end of summer?! I fly out to Phoenix tomorrow for work, then I'll be in California to see my brother come home from his 2-year church mission. Crazy how fast time flies! Ryan starts his last semester at BYU this September, and it's so surreal that we are nearing the end of our college experience. We're considering an MBA..so we'll see how long it takes us to get the courage to hop back into school haha

I have been meaning to hit Center Street in Provo to see this mural, and it was the perfect colorful backdrop for this neutral look :)

I am absolutely loving that we are in the height of summer! It means the beach when we're visiting California, splash pads with the nieces/nephew, and lazy pool days. Nothing better than throwing on a cute outfit, and catching up with friends by the water. It also means that we need to focus on being hydrated 24/7 while playing out in the sun! I don't know about you, but as much as I love being outside, the heat definitely makes me feel depleted. I love reaching for my favorite vitaminwater flavors to help me feel refreshed, and was inspired by the Rise flavor to create this poolside look!

This is one of my favorite dresses since it has white on white embroidery at the top and is so flowy. It can go from poolside to taco night very easily! I went with a tangerine liquid lip color to complement my Rise vitaminwater and threw in some blue and gold accents to jazz everything up.

Red, White, and Blue

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! Ryan and I go all-out every year to celebrate our country. Our usual tradition is to float down the Provo River on the 4th, but since the water is so high this year we probably won't risk it since I'm not a great swimmer haha 

We're looking at doing a family BBQ, paddle board in Deer Creek Reservoir, and enjoy all the Freedom Festival activates Provo has going on all weekend. Provo goes crazy with hot air balloons, Stadium of Fire, carnivals, you name it!

I found this dress at Nordstrom Rack and fell in loooove with it! The white lace and bell sleeves make it absolutely perfect for spring! I wore it as my Easter dress for church and paired with with my pastel Steve Madden purse for the best spring combo :)

We had some friends (@tashbabe12 and @thebeardedcamper) drop by some Easter bunny Rice Krispies at our house and had to take pics before me and Ryan gobbled them up! So dang cute.

Christmas Casual

I am so stoked for Christmas! I'm looking forward to taking a big breather from a crazy couple months at work, and for Ryan to finally come down from the high-stress of finals week. I can't believe how fast the year 2016 flew by, it seems like we were just at NYE banging pots and pans celebrating the beginning of 2016. It's true when they say that the days are long, but the years are short. Am I getting old?! haha

We are heading down to California for the week to de-frost from this 30 degree weather, brrr! This means breaking out the swimsuits and hanging in the jacuzzi every night. Sounds so cozy :)

This look is a casual nod to the holiday season, since it's not bursting at the seams with reds and greens. I have a fun pop of red with the strappy block heel from Shoedazzle, and a little glitz with my agate necklace from Geode in the Rough (my new fave)!
