A couple months ago, I bought my first car! Poor Lucille died on the side of the road last summer and we've been saving up to pick up a newer ride. I loved the whole experience of picking out a car and negotiating a price. It was nerve-wracking and exciting all at the same time! 

Now that I've gone through all the hard work of researching for the right car and negotiating the right price for my budget, I'm hyper vigilant about maintaining it with only the best products.

Since my mom started cosmetology school and has recently become a licensed cosmetologist (congrats mom!), I've been far more conscious of what I use in my beauty routine. She's passed on a lot of great tips, tricks, and products to help keep my skin and hair healthy. What I've learned is that I'm a sucker for a great product with an amazing scent :) 

Tulip & Tweed

We have been having an oddly warm November in Utah this season and I am ALL about it. The Utahans have been crying and complaining that there is no snow yet, and I'm like PSH. That means there is no snow to drive around in, and no snow to get people in car accidents. Also, more time to wear all the fall clothes!

When I saw this blouse at Loft I knew I needed it. So feminine, professional, yet stylish! The tulip sleeve makes all the difference :) 

My friend Ariel mentioned how pretty much my entire closet is from Loft, Anthropolgie, American Eagle, or Nordstrom Rack....guilty. These stores just have such good quality and bang for your buck! Where are your favorite places to shop? Any suggestions I should add to my list?

Roses & Cream

These are the last of my snow pictures! I'm already in sandals and sundresses, even though my toes are close to being frozen off. Can't stop won't stop. The snow is so magical in Utah, but I get so over it after Christmastime. Snow isn't fun anymore when I have to scrape it off my car and drive in it! 

I am wearing another Modbod layering tee with this blouse, they are perfect! I love that it's peeking a tad from the v-neck and isn't overwhelming the delicate blouse. The cream/blue blouse goes so well with my rose-y cords! I'll be sad putting away all my winter duds, but more excited to pull out those sandals and swimsuits ;)

Fall is Coming

The closer it gets to lowering temps, I'm itching to pull out all my sweaters and tweed skirts. I had to snag this dress quick from Loft when it came out, it just screams Fall! Sadly, it's not available online anymore :/ I wish I could have shared it with you all!

This look is from a while ago! I wore it to my friend Lauren's baby gender reveal party, and we found out Baby Hiatt is going to be a boy! So excited for her :)

I know I haven't been around these parts in a while, and it really bums me out! I enjoy writing down updates from my life, sharing fun outfits, and connecting with my readers; but life sure does get in the way. Although, I'm super excited because I have some fun posts lined up about prep for my Hawaii trip and all the fun stuff I'll be doing and wearing while I'm there! Huzzah!

Spotted Autumn

This weekend Ryan and I had a blast with our friends at The Buzz is Coming event in SLC, then afterwards we ate pizza at The Pie. I felt like I was in that stereotypical college scene they have in movies, a hole in the wall basement location with everyone drinking beer and yelling at the football game on TV. Weird to think that this is what college is for most people, craziness! 

We also tried a new Mexican restaurant in Provo and it's become our instant favorite! Mi Lindo Guadalajara has the BEST carne asada tacos and to die for barbequoa tacos. Yummmm. Makes me glad that I married someone who loves Mexican food just as much as I do! Granted, I definitely need to work on my Spanish skills!

Side rant...when I was at Target this week it looked like Christmas had EXPLODED. Seeing as how my family is coming up to Provo for Thanksgiving, I wanted to grab some turkey day related items and found ONE end cap dedicated to the holiday. Comeon Target! Although, I'm kind of a hypocrite because I totally snagged some Christmas decor this week and am already mentally planning my holiday party haha! :)

I'm not sure if any of you would notice, but I got my hair done! I recently had my fabulous friend Nicole at Amara Day Spa & Salon, do my roots a shade darker than my natural fall/winter blonde then make the ends more golden. I'm in LOVE with it! It definitely feels more fall than my go-to bright blonde. No worries though (shoutout to the fam), after the cold season I'm definitely returning back to my "roots" ;)

I'm already a couple weeks into my new job, and I can't even express how blessed I feel. Even though I'm still stuck in the learning curve, I know it won't be long before I catch on and know exactly what to do. It's the perfect job for me and I'm excited to grow with the company!

With this sudden crazy drop in temperature here, I'm starting to get some use out of all my tights, sweaters, and jackets. Which means I'm already planning looks for Thanksgiving and even Christmas...yikes! We are barely into November yet! I know I know....but festive looks & layering are just too fun :)

Being a Basic Fall Girl

Can I just be completely basic and express how much I love fall? Sweaters, boots, tweed, tights...the whole shebang is pretty awesome. On a completely unrelated note, I just finished helping to throw a bloggers night out with The Mouse Trap Truck tonight and it was a hit! Besides the business aspect of throwing blogger parties, I thoroughly enjoy seeing bloggers enjoy each others company. Isn't that what this weirdo blogger world is about? Connecting? 

Just wanted to toot my horn a bit and say that I'm glad everyone had such a great time. Other people being happy makes me extremely happy! Plus I love making blogger business connections with awesome store owners in Provo, yet another thing that makes my heart sing! On to a full weekend of blogger events, can't wait to have more excuses to hang out with some of my favorite people :)

Light + Airy Wedding Look

Since I would be at the temple, reception, and there for the crazy reception clean-up; I made sure I wore something comfortable and classy. The wedding colors were blush pink and mint, so I totally fit in! I bought this dress a couple sizes bigger on purpose to create a flowy shift-dress look which would be perfect for cooling off in the summer heat.

Comfy With a Slight Breeze

It's starting to warm up around here, but even with a slight breeze I couldn't wait to bust out my shorts and sandals! I picked up these boyfriend shorts from Loft years ago before the style was super popular, so I'm glad I've kept them around! I'm excited it's finally Friday because that means relaxing with Ryan and possibly stuffing my face with pan dulce and Mexican hot chocolate ;)
