The Mouse Trap Truck Blogger's Night Out

One of my first visits to the Provo Food Truck Roundup I tried out The Mouse Trap Truck's grilled cheese sandwiches and fell in love. A few weeks ago I talked to the owner Dave about hosting a bloggers night out, and he was all for it!

Most bloggers parties are about the glitz and glam, which isn't a bad thing at all because I love having an excuse to get gussied up! Though, I felt like it was time for a low-key bloggers night where we could talk, and have a good time with our friends over some amazing food. Leggings, sweaters, and topknots were encouraged!

^^ Dave being awesome and hanging up adorable lights!

We got to sample Mouse Trap's most popular sandwiches and they are literally TO DIE FOR. My favorite is the Odd Father, hands down! The Nutell-Yeah is a close runner-up :)

Thank you SO MUCH to The Mouse Trap Truck (Dave, Skyler, Hannah, Brenna, and Brinley) for making this such a fun night! And everyone, make sure to snag an amazing sandwich next time you see this cute yellow & white striped truck scootin' around Utah Valley :)

The Job Search is Over + Fall Floral

After a lot of searching...I finally found a job! Actually, the job kind of found me. Over a month ago I found a tweet with the hashtag #ProvoJobs about a job position, I tweeted saying that I was interested but then received word back that it had already been filled. Last week I received a tweet saying that a different position had opened up and they would like to schedule an interview if I was interested.

After walking into DevMountain then having the interview, I knew I would be perfect for the Executive Assistant job and that I could do a lot of great work there. Even though I felt as if I'd rocked the interview, I still prayed & crossed my fingers that it would work out. Within a couple days the job was offered and I accepted! I had my first day of work yesterday, and I can't even express how blessed I feel. Thank you for all the love & support! It's so crazy to think that after all those months of job searching on KSL listings that I'd end up with one via Twitter :)

On another note, this Pink Blush dress is the comfiest thing EVER. I had so many compliments when I wore it to church on Sunday. Usually I change out of my church clothes as soon as I hit the door but I kept this number on while I cooked dinner and picked up the house. Yes, it's that comfy.

These Prismera pavé earrings and "U" necklace work perfectly with the rest of my go-to delicate gold jewelry. I've been wearing them everyday since I picked them up from the mailbox. Such beautiful pieces that I know will quickly become part of my go-to favorites!!

Spooky Skulls

I love the fun spookiness of Halloween! Ryan grew up in Hispanic culture and is (still) afraid the coocooey is gonna come out and snatch him at night haha. Which means I have to stick to cutesy Halloween decor and leave the really spooky stuff to our front porch! Poor Ryan ;)

I'll take any opportunity to get into the Halloween spirit, so I snagged this skull skirt and was super excited when Made by Jewls gave me these adorable bat earrings!

Coupons.com is giving you the chance to win $100 in daily prize giveaways or a grand $3,000 prize until October 31st with their Coupons.com Halloween Creepstakes! Who doesn't need some extra cash to stash away for the upcoming holidays?

Being a Basic Fall Girl

Can I just be completely basic and express how much I love fall? Sweaters, boots, tweed, tights...the whole shebang is pretty awesome. On a completely unrelated note, I just finished helping to throw a bloggers night out with The Mouse Trap Truck tonight and it was a hit! Besides the business aspect of throwing blogger parties, I thoroughly enjoy seeing bloggers enjoy each others company. Isn't that what this weirdo blogger world is about? Connecting?

Just wanted to toot my horn a bit and say that I'm glad everyone had such a great time. Other people being happy makes me extremely happy! Plus I love making blogger business connections with awesome store owners in Provo, yet another thing that makes my heart sing! On to a full weekend of blogger events, can't wait to have more excuses to hang out with some of my favorite people :)

How To Do Your Laundry In the Dorms Feat. Amazon WishList

I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias. #AmazonWishList #AmazonHasIt #CollectiveBias

My younger brother Jesse is now a college freshmen at my alma mater BYU, and I love having him close by! He tends to ask questions that normal freshmen do, such as: What kind of oil do I put in my car? How long do I cook the chicken for? What temperature do I wash my brights on? He has come over numerous times to get help with laundry and to make sure he doesn't forget what I've taught him, I made this infographic for reference!

My parents like to make sure he is stocked on cleaning/washing supplies, so the new #AmazonWishlist feature on Amazon.com would be a great tool for Jesse to let them know when he is low on dorm necessities. Also, if they sign up for a subscription of this Proctor & Gamble laundry necessities box they can save 5% so Jesse is never detergent-less again!

This Proctor & Gamble Laundry Bundle with Tide Pods, Downy, and Unstoppable is the perfect dorm care package that is both thoughtful and useful! The Tide Pods come in Spring Meadow, the Bounce dryer sheets in Outdoor Fresh, and Downy Unstoppables give laundry that extra fresh boost. Boys smell (it's especially bad in the dorms), so all of these amazing smell-good products will go to great use!

The #AmazonWishList feature allows the user to simply add the #AmazonWishList hashtag on the end of a tweet which includes a product they are interested in (with an amazon.com link); and it will automatically add it to the wish list on their Amazon account! Some of the other features that come with the Amazon Wish List is: Save-A-Photo, Universal Wish List Add-On, and Virtual Notes. Then my personal favorite is the Don't Spoil my Surprise, which allows friends/family of the user to view the wish list and surprise them with something off the list without notifying the user of it's purchase!

To help you get the hang of #AmazonWishList, Amazon is hosting a Twitter party! They will be offering special promotions on all featured items which also includes $1 off any of the featured products purchased during the party when using the hashtags #AmazonWishList and #AmazonHasIt. They'll also be giving away 10 Kindles during the Twitter soiree! Um, who doesn't want discounted stuff and the possibility of winning a Kindle?! The shindig is TOMORROWOctober 15th from 11-12pm EST. Be there or be square!! Or go square dancing...whichever ;)

Fall in the Canyon + Kisstletoe Giveaway

This past weekend my friend Caitlin asked if I could snap some pics of her & her husband with all the beautiful seasonal colors. So Ryan, myself, and friends made our way up Provo Canyon and enjoyed all that Fall in Utah has to offer!

I donned my wire wrapped bracelets and ring from Down to the Wire NOLA, they are super cute and go with practically everything! I've been wearing them non-stop since I picked them up from the mailbox. Love all the natural stones and sea glass :)

I've also been loving my new necklace from an up and coming company called Kisstletoe. It's a piece of mistletoe that is harvested by hand from California mountains made into an adorable little pendant. This piece of mistletoe gives you the right anytime anywhere to kiss whomever you want ;)

Kisstletoe was created by a mother and daughter, so they're extremely supportive of women! A portion of Kisstletoe's sales are donated to The Malala Fund which aims to invest in girls so they can pursue an education. Special congrats to Malala for winning the Nobel Peace Prize, how amazing!  Empowering girls and women is something we can all get behind :)

I picked out the Kisstleberry necklace because I love gold jewelry, and the adorable charms make it something I can wear year round! This would be the perfect gift for close friends and family, both thoughtful and a beautiful piece of jewelry. Better start thinking about this now...only 71 more shopping days left until Christmas!

Kisstletoe wants to share the love with one of my readers by giving away a necklace! The giveaway will run until 10/22, good luck! :)

Halloween Leopard Tutorial + The Best Makeup Remover

DISCLAIMER / FTC: This post is sponsored by NEUTROGENA®  I only recommend products I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Some of the products mentioned were purchased by myself AND/OR some were provided by NEUTROGENA® for this post. #CollectiveBias #NeutrogenaFaceOff

I am obsessed with leopard print, so obviously I had to create a leopard makeup tutorial for this upcoming Halloween! I used a ton of different makeup products on my face, which meant in addition to picking up all the goodies for this look I needed some stellar makeup wipes to help keep my skin clear and healthy afterwards.  I used (1) black creamy eye liner pencil, (2) black liquid liner pen, and (3) gold glitter liquid eye liner to bring this catty look to life.

1// I'm all done up with a smokey eye, black liquid liner, fake lashes, and berry lipstick before starting my leopard transformation

2// With a black creamy eye liner pencil I outlined a kitty cat sniffer on the tip of my nose utilizing curvy lines

3// I filled in my nose with the creamy eyeliner, to make it shiny and last longer then do a layer of liquid liner over the top

4// With liquid liner mark a few dots between your nose and mouth, then use the liquid liner pen to make some cute whiskers

5// I did my leopard spots in a "V" formation on my forehead and then did some on my cheekbones. Draw "C's", "U's", circles, and short lines in between with the creamy eye liner to create the leopard spot pattern

6// Fill in the open spaces of the leopard spots with gold glitter liner or you can also use gold eyeshadow

This look would look best with some leopard ears from Walmart (only about $2!), black leather leggings, a black blouse, stiletto heels, and a furry scarf! I picked up the Neutrogena Cleansing Towlettes from my Orem Walmart, and they're an absolute lifesaver! I've been using these makeup wipes for a few months now, and I love how they don't leave a trace of makeup on my face but also make my skin feel so soft and clean afterwards. With only one towelette!

Make sure to grab some for yourself before going all crazy this Halloween, you want to make sure you still look fresh afterward the festivities and not too spoookkkkky ;) Join in the #NeutrogenaFaceOff challenge to show off the before and after of your Halloween look, then share at the Twitter party on 10/29 at 11AM-12PM EST!
