"I'm Starving" Restaurant-Inspired Appetizers

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CollectiveBias #TaiPeiGoodFortune
The whole day of Thanksgiving I kept on hearing "I'm starving!" from my husband and brother who were holding out until our feast later that night. I wanted to make sure that my family didn't "starve" waiting until dinner, so I whipped up some restaurant-inspired Tai Pei egg rolls and spring rolls for them to snack on until dinner!

While our Thanksgiving feast took a lot of time and work in the kitchen, Tai Pei Pork Egg Rolls and the Mini Spring Rolls only took minutes to prepare! Tai Pei rolls offer the fun experience of Asian take-out food, but the delicious taste of restaurant quality appetizers. The boys were definitely pleased when I brought these little rolls out to place on my drink & appetizers table!

I snagged my Tai Pei appetizers when I was at my local Orem, UT Walmart picking up items for the Thanksgiving meal I was hosting at my home! Gosh, do I love Walmart. It's a one-stop shop for all my home needs. Make sure to grab some of these easy to make and fun to eat rolls for your next soiree!

Currently my family and I are whipping up a delicious Thanksgiving meal and plotting our plan of attack for the best shopping weekend of the year. Black Friday! Shop Small Saturday! Cyber Monday!

Shop Small Saturday has only been around since 2010 when American Express founded the shopping day to help small businesses procure more customers. This year on November 29th, when American Express card holders register their card at they will be eligible for 3, $10 rebates when they "shop small" on Small Business Saturday!

I picked up these INSANELY comfortable fur-lined Sanuks at Flip Flop Shops in the Fashion Place Mall. This store is a participating retailer in Shop Small Saturday and is offering an exclusive Shop Small canvas shopping bag and sticker to their first 20 customers. Show off that Shop Small pride!

Quick and Easy Holiday Hairstyles

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #HeartMyHair #CollectiveBias

With the holidays fast approaching I already have my December calendar filled up with parities galore. It makes my heart sing! I love throwing holiday parties and attending fun soirees with friends & family. My go-to hairstyle is wearing it down with loose curls, but I definitely need to change it up. With my Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret® and Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Brushless Motor Dryer, I was able to create some quick and easy holiday styles! I don't like to look too put together, so these styles are meant to be messy, sexy, and fabulous! :)

Along with my new hair tools I picked up the Conair Velvet Paddle Brush and Conair Professional Round Brush. Brushes should be replaced every 6-8 months, so I was in need of an update!

I blow-dried my hair after a shower with the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™, which decreases your drying time by 70% and helps you avoid heat damage by utilizing lower temperature and faster airflow. I then curled my hair with the innovative Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret®, which draws your hair into the chamber and curls it for you. It also has tourmaline-ceramic technology that reduces frizz making your curls soft and smooth every time! What?! SO COOL.

The first look is SUPER quick and easy. Curl the hair, tease the crown, and put on a cute glitzy headband. Voila, festive hair-do!

With this look I braided a loose braid on each side of my head, then raked all my hair back with my fingers and paddle brush into a messy bun. The curls help to create more texture with the low bun. This will be perfect for my Ugly Sweater Christmas party where I'll be running around putting up last minute decor and busy hosting. My hair is pulled out of my face but still looks cute and put together!

I have short side-swept bangs which means my braids need a lot of hairspray! I did a french braid until the back of my head and a wrapped pony to cover the elastic, then teased my pony to help the loose curls look thicker. Plus adding some red lips and gold star earrings doesn't hurt the holiday vibe ;)

I picked up all these awesome hair tools at my local Walmart while I was out doing some early Thanksgiving dinner shopping. I definitely don't want to be stuck in the crazy shopping traffic the couple days before Thanksgiving. I love how all Walmart is my one-stop shop for all my needs! Comment with any of your favorite quick and easy holiday looks I need to try out!

Cozy Cool

I am decked out in Pink Blush for this post! The sweater, leggings, necklace, and cargo jacket are all from this adorable online boutique. The ducks kept on following me around during the shoot, so I'm positive they approved of my cool-weather look ;)

Friday night I went with my blog BFF's to the Groopdealz GLO party and it was a blast! We especially liked the taco bar and photo booth. We might have gone through the booth a few times just so we had a variety of pics to choose from...haha #bloggerprobs

By now you should all know that I'm blind as a dang bat. I've written a decent amount of posts talking about my array of prescription glasses, and how I like to have stylish options! These burgundy frames from Firmoo were the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe.

What did I tell you, the ducks were having the time of their lives just following me around! They obviously needed some outfit pics to post on their blogs too ;)

My Favorite Purchase (As of Late)

The past year I've been trying to focus on purchasing better quality over quantity. Especially since I weed out my closet every once in a while and find that I donate the clothes I got for "such a great deal" at Target, Forever 21, or Platos Closet. It's not a great deal if the clothes/shoes are cheap, fall apart quick, or don't fit me well. So now I'm always on the lookout for a deal AND great quality!

I picked out these heels from ShoeMint during one of their "25 for $25" shoe sales, and as you can tell I've worn them a bunch since they came in the mail! They are such good quality and it makes me even more excited that I snagged them for such an amazing deal.

With Black Friday coming up, I'm already scoping out the good deals that I need to snag. I'm on the lookout for snow boots and new bedding! is hosting a Black Friday Sweepstakes, because who wouldn't want to win more cash to spend during the holidays?

There's also Black Friday articles on The Good Stuff online magazine that can help you to be a savvy sales shopper, give you tips on how to survive Black Friday, and let you in on the best Black Friday sales. If you're curious on ho much shoppers spent in 2013 on these popular sales, click the button below! Good luck on your Black Friday sales shopping :)

Lo's Secret Banana Bread Recipe

I have tried about 5-6 different banana bread recipes and for some reason they have all been epic fails. I was talking to my friend Lo about this unfortunate predicament I was in and she offered her tried and true secret (but now not so secret) recipe. It's one that friends and family beg her to make for every holiday. I've made this recipe multiple times and it has been a constant hit!

3 Overripe Bananas
1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Coconut Oil or Melted Butter
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 Egg

2 cups Flour
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Ginger
1 cup Chocolate Chips or Blueberries

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together greek yogurt, egg, overripe bananas, vanilla, and coconut oil together.

2. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, sugar, baking soda, flour, and chocolate chips.

3. Mix ingredients all together and put into bread pan, mini bread pans, or muffin tins! Cooking times vary for each way you cook it.

These times are estimates:
Bread Pan: 25-30 mins
Mini Bread Pan: 25-30 mins
Muffins: 15-20 mins

Voila! I made them in cute mini bread containers I found at Target and then delivered them to girls in my neighborhood as a "hello." I used these adorable tags from Lex's blog to top them off! Hope you enjoy this recipe just as much as I do!
