Basically Basic Bomber

When I first ventured into the weird blogger world almost 5 years ago, one of the first fashion bloggers I started following was Jalynn from The Red Closet Diary. I loved her affordable, creative, and stylish outfits; which is why I've followed along all these years. It's so awesome to have finally met her in person, and see how her brand has blossomed!

Her new venture is the The Red Closet Shop where she curates her shop with items that she'd place in her own closet. Once an item is sold out, then she chooses a brand new item to shake things up! I am in love with these new Faux Leather Peek-a-Boo Leggings :)

Jalynn is so awesome to offer my readers a 30% off code! Say whaaaaaat! Use the code below to treat 'yo self to some new winter gear :)

How to Treat Your Skin During Holiday Stress

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #Light2ClearSkin #CollectiveBias

Even though I'm looking forward to the holidays, does it stress anyone else out?! All the pressure of decorating, shopping for presents, and the temptation of sweets unfortunately makes my skin break out. Between the stress and dry winter air, my skin is not happy with me! I'm excited to try out the new Neutrogena® Light Therapy Acne Mask, since it has the same technology that was previously only offered in dermatologist offices for $500 acne treatments.

I picked this up in the acne aisle at Walmart, right next to all the Neutrogena products. First I opened up the box to pull out the instructions and take a look at all the fun goodies! The product is pretty straightforward and easy-to-use.

The mask comes with a 1 month supply/30-day Neutrogena® Light Therapy Acne Mask Activator, which has a countdown indicator which shows that you have 30 uses left and when activated it does an automatic countdown of the 10 minutes per use. Every 30 uses, you would pick up a new activator at Walmart for an affordable $14.97 (.50 per day)!

Before starting my light therapy session, I used the Clean & Clear® Makeup Dissolving Wipes to clean up the makeup and residue off my face in one good swipe! It is gentle on my skin, and is so effective that I don't have to do a basic rinse on my face.

The mask is lightweight, and has a nice eye slot so I could read magazines while passing the time! I plugged the mask into the activator and followed instructions to start my 10 minute session. In a clinical study, there were noticeable results on participants after only 1 week of use. How crazy awesome is that?!

Even though I'm literally glowing, the UVA/UVB-free light is not hot at all! What I'm stoked about, is that the light targets acne-causing bacteria without using harsh chemicals. My skin is so sensitive, and this light therapy doesn't aggravate it, which is a huge plus in my book!

I plan on using this mask for the next month, and I'm looking forward to showing you the results! Does your skin break out during the holiday months? Are you looking for an easy-to-use and fast acne treatment? Try the Neutrogena® Light Therapy Acne Mask with me!

Fall Basics

Other than being a 'basic girl', I also enjoy stocking my wardrobe full of basics ;) As I've gotten older I've become more strategic about what I bring into my closet. I want to make my mornings easier by keeping items in my closet that not only fit well, but that I love!

I was sent these sunglasses and olive top, and they are the perfect basics! The matte leopard sunglasses match everything, and the shape is universally flattering. My Criss Cross Top is in one of my favorite colors, olive, which serves as a neutral all year round. I'm excited to layer this top with all my go-to sweaters :)

These items were sent from Dear Darling, owned by a cute sister duo who just launched their business this fall. They have a beautiful collection of sweaters, tops, and holiday attire! Might have to take a look around for that upcoming Christmas party!

Shades of Autumn

Are we so happy that it's Friday?! And the weekend before Thanksgiving? I sure am! I'm lucky enough to work at a company that values family time. I get to spend Thanksgiving with my in-laws in Portland, then Black Friday/weekend watching the BYU v. USU football game with my family! (While also peeking into the work email and putting out work-related fires haha).

I posted this on Instagram a couple days ago, and just my luck it snowed yesterday lol. It quickly melted off, which was totally fine by me. The only thing I'm happy about is that it is now cold enough to wear all my cute coats I've picked up! In the meantime, here are more fall leaves to look at ;)

Anyone jetting off for the holiday week? Any Thanksgiving food you're looking forward to?

Tulip & Tweed

We have been having an oddly warm November in Utah this season and I am ALL about it. The Utahans have been crying and complaining that there is no snow yet, and I'm like PSH. That means there is no snow to drive around in, and no snow to get people in car accidents. Also, more time to wear all the fall clothes!

When I saw this blouse at Loft I knew I needed it. So feminine, professional, yet stylish! The tulip sleeve makes all the difference :)

My friend Ariel mentioned how pretty much my entire closet is from Loft, Anthropolgie, American Eagle, or Nordstrom Rack....guilty. These stores just have such good quality and bang for your buck! Where are your favorite places to shop? Any suggestions I should add to my list?

Smile Brilliant

Have I told you that I won 'Best Smile' in high school? Probably not, because high school doesn't matter after you graduate haha! I was pretty excited though because my smile is what I would consider one of my best assets. I've taken a lot of effort throughout the years to keep my smile pristine, but some times I've slacked and my smile isn't as dazzling as I want it to be. I received this Smile Brilliant kit where they had me create custom fitted whitening trays at home, which brought my smile back to where I want it to be and it was soooo easy to use.

Smile Brilliant sent me an at-home kit with instructions on how to make my own teeth impressions to create the custom whitening trays, I had my brother help me out and then I was ready to mail them in! I received them back within a week and a half and read the directions below on how to use my trays. I do have sensitive teeth, so using the desensitizing gel has been a lifesaver.

I made sure to follow the instructions closely, and have been whitening my teeth consistently for the past week and a half. I've already seen such a difference in my smile and confidence! :)

Below are my before and after pictures, crazy awesome difference with just a few uses! There are so many great before/after pics online, just check out Kelli Tanner's video on her teeth whitening experience hereSmile Brilliant wants to offer a $20 discount to the first 20 readers who use my code breezydays20! Only one order away from getting a dazzling smile for the holidays!

Beauty Brew: The Cure for Winter Skin

It's that time of year for scaly skin and it's the wooorrsstttt. Even though this happens every year, I seem to forget that it's coming and lament when it's here. I try various products each season to see what works best, and was excited to try out these Beauty Brew products. I'm even more excited to say that I'm in LOVE with each and every one!

This product is packed full of: Vitamin C rich Orange Oil, Shea Oil, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Orange & Moroccan Rose Buds, and Rose Oil. Rose is known for it's awesome antioxidant, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory properties; everything my skin needs!

I've been using this product after I wash my face to do my toner routine. It soaks into my skin and feels firm, yet soft to the touch! I've only been using a tiny bit every time, and it covers my entire face. Which means this jar is gonna last me a nice long time ;)

Cocoa butter is the best of the best when it comes to restoring dull and dry skin. It also helps fight off free radicals which can cause aging, dark patches, and dull skin. Yikes! Ain't nobody got time for that.

I've been using this balm on my arms since that is one of the places where I run into that scaly skin issue and it has been heavenly. I love spreading this on after I hop out of a warm shower. It's been a life saver!

I love a good bath with bubbles or epsom salt :) This is the best of both worlds since this bath soak has European Sea Salt and Organic Wild Flowers, which smells divine. I've been loving my flower filled baths with this jar of scrumptiousness!

Check out Beauty Brew for all your winter skin needs!

Cozy Plaid

This outfit is from that few weeks where summer is barely turning into Fall, and you so desperately want to wear jeans and boots. Right after this shoot I took off those boots because I was sweating so much haha! Crazy how much can change in just a couple of months.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I'm stoked for the chilly sweater weather and loads of turkey stuffing. Anyone doing anything exciting for the Thanksgiving holiday? Or even better, Black Friday?! ;)
