The Job Search is Over + Fall Floral

After a lot of searching...I finally found a job! Actually, the job kind of found me. Over a month ago I found a tweet with the hashtag #ProvoJobs about a job position, I tweeted saying that I was interested but then received word back that it had already been filled. Last week I received a tweet saying that a different position had opened up and they would like to schedule an interview if I was interested.

After walking into DevMountain then having the interview, I knew I would be perfect for the Executive Assistant job and that I could do a lot of great work there. Even though I felt as if I'd rocked the interview, I still prayed & crossed my fingers that it would work out. Within a couple days the job was offered and I accepted! I had my first day of work yesterday, and I can't even express how blessed I feel. Thank you for all the love & support! It's so crazy to think that after all those months of job searching on KSL listings that I'd end up with one via Twitter :)

On another note, this Pink Blush dress is the comfiest thing EVER. I had so many compliments when I wore it to church on Sunday. Usually I change out of my church clothes as soon as I hit the door but I kept this number on while I cooked dinner and picked up the house. Yes, it's that comfy.

These Prismera pavé earrings and "U" necklace work perfectly with the rest of my go-to delicate gold jewelry. I've been wearing them everyday since I picked them up from the mailbox. Such beautiful pieces that I know will quickly become part of my go-to favorites!!

A Day of Shopping in SLC

Yesterday I ventured out with my friend Lauren to do some low-key shopping in Salt Lake, and it was a perfect day! I ate for the first time at Blue Lemon and the butternut squash soup was TO DIE FOR. We ate our lunch outside across from temple square in the most beautiful weather, sunny with a cool breeze. Days like that make me so grateful to live in Utah :)

I recently picked up this tee from Everlane and it is super comfy! I'm such a grey tee fanatic, and this Ryan Pocket Tee was an awesome addition to the collection. The rayon fabric gives it a slinky drape and it's soft to the touch, which makes it a new go-to casual tee for me.

Plus these boots from Ariat International are seriously awesome! I picked out a classic English style brown boot that is waterproof so it will fair well in the winter, and I was also excited to see the great tread on the bottom of the boot. Finally a cute pair of boots that are actually functional! My dad would be so proud ;)

Lionesse Gem Golden Sapphire Skincare

I'm pretty passionate about skincare, especially since I have delicate, sensitive Icelandic/German skin. I have to treat my skin with care to not only keep in clear and healthy, but to prevent any future issues with skin cancer. I was excited to try out the Lionesse Gem Golden Sapphire Collection which featured a serum, mask, and cream.

Mask: Created with fruit and flower extracts such as Acai Fruit Extract and Euterpe Oleracea Fruit extract. Designed to bring back the silky smooth skin of your youth.
Serum: Infused with ingredients such as Golden Sapphire and Vitamin C. Designed to smooth out deep wrinkles and lines.
Cream: Extremely moisturizing and has Olive Oil and Golden Sapphire ingredients.

After using these products for the past month, I can definitely say that I see and feel a huge difference. I use the mask and cream before I go to sleep at night and the serum when I wake up in the morning before I apply my makeup. My skin is softer, smoother, and feels brighter and healthier. I don't think you can put a price on beautifully clear skin! Check out why using Golden Sapphire products will help elevate your skincare routine :)

Personal Microderm Review

I was sent this Personal Microderm device to give a whirl and I was impressed to say the least! It's an at-home microdermabrasion device that helps to unclog pores, even skin tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. While I don't have a ton of wrinkles yet, I was excited because I love to treat my skin with the best care possible.

(It came with an instruction booklet and DVD, various sizes of the spinning discs, a plug for the device so you don't have the hassle of replacing batteries, and some packets of moisturizer and toner.)

I know that many day spas offer this treatment for a pretty hefty price so if you want an at-home alternative to clearer skin, then this is your product. The PMD exfoliates and removes dead skin cells to reveal a healthy and clear complexion. After using the device I moisturized my face and my skin felt baby soft. It's instructed to use this about once a week, which I'll definitely be doing because I loved the feeling of brand new skin!

Warby Parker Home Try-On

I've been in the market for some new glasses, but most of the time I find the best deals online. The problem with shopping online? Not being able to try things on, argh! With Warby Parker I was able to pick 5 different frames and have them sent to my home for free with their Home Try-On program. I was so excited to open the box to all these adorable styles!

I really liked the square-ish frame, but it might be too dark for my face. I tend to go for brown or tortoiseshell frames.

I really liked the tortoise print on this pair! Definitely a contender.

I wanted to try these in the tortoiseshell option, but they weren't available this time around for home try-ons. Darn! I picked the other color available to try out the style. These are probably my favorites, and in tortoiseshell? Swoon!

Which ones do you think are the cutest? Best fit? Keep me posted in the comments!

The Weight is Over

After all my summer travels, I had eaten too much good food. Lobster rolls, donuts, clam chowder in sourdough bowls, burritos, you name it! I came back to Utah and realized that I needed to get back on some kind of diet/workout regimen, which is where WiO came into play. This program is designed to give your body the proper balance of macro and micro-nutrients to help with symptoms of Metabolic Syndrome.

Above is what I received each week for my diet so I could make my meal replacement shakes. I did the diet for 2 weeks, which was a great jump start to eating healthy foods in healthy portions. I lost a total of 5 pounds! While it was pretty rough the first week to get started, I reminded myself of some of the healthy benefits of the diet: low carbs, digestible protein, gluten free, natural sweeteners, and whole food vitamins and minerals.

It was awesome to have a WiO coach to help me through the diet along with an extremely informative scale that measures weight, dry lean muscle mass, body fat mass, intra/extra cellular water, body fat percentage, total body water, and lead body mass. It was so cool to see the numbers change each week! I'm happy that this diet set me on the right track to continue on with my fitness journey :) Check out the posts Rachel and Jenny have done on their WiO progress!

Minty Fresh Floral feat. Pink Blush

First off, lets excuse the hideous zebra sunburn on my calves. It's from the Provo River float a couple weeks back and I know that it looks SO DUMB. I'll never be using sunscreen in a spray can ever again, that's for sure. Although it looks ridiculous, I won't let it stop me from showing off adorable dresses like this one from Pink Blush! :)

When I first saw this dress I knew that it had to be mine. Floral, bright colors, blue, fit and flare style...right up my alley. This is the first way I styled it, more of a dressy casual feel which is perfect for a summer lunch date with an old friend. Can't wait to show you how I styled it next at the Provo Food Truck Roundup last week! :)

Rockin' the Red, White + Blue

I'm so excited for the 4th of July! We're having some friends coming in from out of town and I'm excited to show them the fun summer activities in Provo. Here is my ideal comfy 4th of July outfit for a day full of parades, BBQ'n, fireworks, and bonfires!

I love these stunna shades from Kameleonz, they are polarized and UV400 to protect my eyes from the sun. What's even cooler is that the arms are interchangeable! I snagged the Coconut set with interchangeable clear, tangerine, and hemlock green arms; so I can style them with any of my summer looks! Use the code: "BRI" for 20% off your own set of awesome sunglasses!
