Warby Parker Home Try-On

I've been in the market for some new glasses, but most of the time I find the best deals online. The problem with shopping online? Not being able to try things on, argh! With Warby Parker I was able to pick 5 different frames and have them sent to my home for free with their Home Try-On program. I was so excited to open the box to all these adorable styles!

I really liked the square-ish frame, but it might be too dark for my face. I tend to go for brown or tortoiseshell frames.

I really liked the tortoise print on this pair! Definitely a contender.

I wanted to try these in the tortoiseshell option, but they weren't available this time around for home try-ons. Darn! I picked the other color available to try out the style. These are probably my favorites, and in tortoiseshell? Swoon!

Which ones do you think are the cutest? Best fit? Keep me posted in the comments!

Rockin' the Red, White + Blue

I'm so excited for the 4th of July! We're having some friends coming in from out of town and I'm excited to show them the fun summer activities in Provo. Here is my ideal comfy 4th of July outfit for a day full of parades, BBQ'n, fireworks, and bonfires!

I love these stunna shades from Kameleonz, they are polarized and UV400 to protect my eyes from the sun. What's even cooler is that the arms are interchangeable! I snagged the Coconut set with interchangeable clear, tangerine, and hemlock green arms; so I can style them with any of my summer looks! Use the code: "BRI" for 20% off your own set of awesome sunglasses!

Frame It

Did I ever tell you the story of when I lost my $400 glasses when watching Horton Hears a Who? Well, I guess there's the story right there haha! I took off my glasses during the movie because they were bothering my nose and put them in the cup holder next to me. I go back literally 20 minutes later to retrieve them and they're gone. Say what?!

I have such horrible eyesight, it's not like anyone could actually use my lenses! I'm sure they either got swept into the trash or pocketed by someone so they could keep the frames, what a shame! I snagged some Vera Wang frames after that incident during my junior year of high school. Fast-forward a few years with my prescription changing and slowly deteriorating eyesight {I sound like I'm 80}, and I can't stomach paying over $100 for glasses with my college budget.

I've gotten my plastic frames and prescription lenses from Zenni Optical, although when I have some extra cash flow I'd love to spring for some prescription glasses from Bonlook. They are not only affordable, but are of good quality and totally stylish! I'm always on the prowl for a great eyeglass company that provides budget-friendly prescription eyewear ;) Feel free to share your favorite prescription eyewear site!

Hipster Glasses

I get people asking me allll the time if I'm wearing glasses as a part of my "look" that day. Dang you hipsters! Ruining the wearing of glasses for the rest of us! I actually have lenses in my glasses and wear them for things like...seeing, you know? I first knew I needed glasses when I would determine which teammate I was passing the basketball to by her hair and jersey color. I didn't even realize that I had bad eyesight because I was compensating with colors and my parents didn't know because I was still sinking shots! It wasn't until they asked why I was squinting when I played, and I responded that it was so I could see exactly who I was passing to. Enter glasses!

I'm such a bad contact wearer though, because I sleep with them in for a week or more at a time {I know, I know...stop scratching your eyeballs out.} So when I finally do take them out and my eyes burn to high heavens, I like to look cute in my glasses :)

{Remixed: Boots, Top}

I love my Ray-Ban "inspired" {aka copycat} tortoiseshell glasses for everyday wear, and I just purchased a pair of black cat-eye glasses to give me some more options. Plus, I'm on the hunt for some rectangular glasses from Bonlook so I can look super classy when studying...because that's what's important when studying right? It's nice that prescription glasses are more affordable nowadays, as opposed to my over $200 Vera Wang glasses from high school. Yikes! Hooray for more fashionable options for the nearly-blind!

What are your thoughts on glasses? What are your favorite styles?

Glasses for the Blind & Budget Conscious

Seeing as how I have absolutely horrible vision, glasses are a necessity in my life.
Decent glasses seem to run around 200 bucks a pair these days, yikes!
I definitely can't afford that with a college student budget.
Then I found the affordable glasses site, Firmoo.com, a site that fits my style & price point.
They even offer a first pair free program, and how cool is that?!

Firmoo has a variety of choices, the delivery was quick, they have a Virtual-Try-On system on their site, and these prescription glasses would be extremely affordable for the practically blind & budget conscious college student and/or newlywed :)

Blind As a Bat

I have played basketball my whole life, and when I made it onto my high school freshmen basketball team I was stoked.
During summer ball my parents came to every one of my games and asked why I would always squint before passing the ball.

"Well, I can see that my teammates are in blue, and I can tell who it is by what color and how long their hair is. Then I just chuck the ball over to them!"
That's when my parents dragged me to the eye doctor.

I must have excellent basketball skills, cause I don't know how the heck I was making any shots or passes with my eyesight!
With an astigmatism in both eyes, and one eye being near sighted and the other far sighted I was still a starter on the team.
Yup, I'm a rockstar.

I didn't want to wear contacts all the time, so I had the option for glasses too.
I wish I had known about GlassesUSA.com before I bought my mega expensive frames!

GlassesUSA has this thing called a Virtual Mirror, where you can upload a picture of yourself and try out different kinds of eyeglasses, suffice if to say I got a little carried away.

So try it out for youself! It's mega easy and kinda like window shopping :)

These frames are totally cheap glasses, and easily affordable.
And if you are like me...where I've already lost one set of glasses, you don't want to be spending hundreds of dollars on a new pair.
These eyeglasses frames are high quality, 100% satisfaction guaranteed, and there is a rad refer-a-friend program. What more could you want!?
