Holiday Party Dresses

Now that it's finally December, bring on the sparkles and glitter! I have a few Christmas parties to attend this month and while some are Ugly Sweater themed, I actually get to dress up for other ones :) Above I have my picks for holiday looks and below are some more adorable options! Are you excited for the holiday glam? Any fun parties coming up??

Icone Glam Sequin Gold Dress ($69): So cute and sparkly. Love the long sleeves!
Pink Blush Gold V-Neck Sequin Evening Gown ($129): This has such a casual glam look to it, and so affordable for a gown.
Pink Blush Light Pink Metallic Dress (black/gold option both $72): A great modest option, that you could wear year-round.
Contemporaine Lace Corsage Black Dress ($99): Looove the 3/4 lace sleeves, so classic
Pink Blush Long-Sleeve Gold Dress ($47): This looks so comfy, and could be worn all through the colder months.

Roses & Cream

These are the last of my snow pictures! I'm already in sandals and sundresses, even though my toes are close to being frozen off. Can't stop won't stop. The snow is so magical in Utah, but I get so over it after Christmastime. Snow isn't fun anymore when I have to scrape it off my car and drive in it!

I am wearing another Modbod layering tee with this blouse, they are perfect! I love that it's peeking a tad from the v-neck and isn't overwhelming the delicate blouse. The cream/blue blouse goes so well with my rose-y cords! I'll be sad putting away all my winter duds, but more excited to pull out those sandals and swimsuits ;)

Aztec Winter

Well hellooooo everyone! Excited we are nearing the weekend? I sure am! I just got over a hardcore cold (yuck) that Ryan passed off to me this past weekend. Marriage is the best haha! ;)

I got this sweater and these boots for Christmas and they have been on a non-stop rotation in my wardrobe. The boots are so insanely comfy and warm! I layered this sweater from my Dad with another ModBod tee from their signature line. Such a great piece to wear with all my big cozy sweaters :)

Snowy Plaid

I know I know, I was just raving about spring in the last post; but the snow isn't melting fast enough and it makes for good photo ops. You dig? I gotta be honest, Ryan and I have been so boring the past few months. Busy for sure, but so boring.

Ryan has got 3 more semesters in BYU's Business School finishing his undergrad, and I'm working full-time and also taking the UI/UX Design After Hours class that is offered at my work. We are doing good things, but hardly have any down time. It's the constant battle of balance! Right now my house is not decorated and looks like a bomb hit it, but I'm creating iOS app interfaces like a beginning champ and Ryan is acing tests. We win some and lose some!

Speaking of which, our goal is to get some things hung on the wall before the end of the weekend, lofty goals huh? haha! Btw, this tee is from ModBod and is super comfy! It's a short sleeve and is the perfect layering tee :) I'm going to be showing off 2 more looks featuring ModBod tees, so stay tuned!

Bright Valentines

I know there is still snow on the ground, but the snow storms have stopped (for now), the sun is peeking out, and I'm getting excited for the brightness of Spring! I got this basic tee from My Sister's Closet boutique and I enjoyed styling a fun Valentines inspired look with it :)

I'm really excited that lace-up shoes/heels are a thing, I think they are the cutest thing everrrrr. These are the Lanesa sandals from Shoedazzle, one of my go-to shoe sites!

You doing anything fun for Valentines weekend?!

I was sent these fun winter-themed sock ties by Refyne Wear, and gave them to my brother Evan. He was ecstatic when I gifted these ties to him, he's been wearing them to all his Christmas parties and is excited to layer them with sweaters for date nights and church :)

Get a Good Nights Sleep!

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #HealingNightsSleep #CollectiveBias

For as long as I can remember I have always played basketball, it's practically in my blood. I play for fun now because I'm too short to actually do anything with it haha! Although, now that Ryan and I are getting older we are spending more time behind a desk at school or work, so when we do get the time to play we feel those hardcore aches and pains afterwards. Ouch!

With our responsibilities we don't have the luxury of not getting a well-rested nights sleep. Which is where Advil PM comes in, it takes care of the pain and helps with a great nights sleep!

Advil PM knocks out 2 birds with one stone. Instead of taking Advil for my aches and a sleeping aid to help with a good nights sleep, I can take one pill and save time and money! I snagged mine at Walgreens while I was in there picking up some cough drops for the cold weather coming up. You can save on your Advil pain reliever/sleep aid products when you use these offers!

Winter Floral

If it wasn't so dang cold I would live in dresses all day long! I gravitate towards old school styles and couldn't wait to wear this eShakti dress to finish out the holiday season. Right now they are having an awesome clearance sale and already bringing out their spring line, hooray!!

To round out my glam eShakti look I paired it with Shoedazzle bow heels, InPink crystal necklace, then curled my hair and pulled it to the side. Bright colors and shiny dresses help brighten up my Monday! :)

Bri's Bees

I am so dang excited that Jenny brought back her Sunday Style link-up! It was one of the only link-ups I actually consistently participated in, shame on me right? {#bloggerprobs haha} I'm debuting this outfit that I wore to church yesterday. It's funny that I hardly can ever wear just black, when I do end up wearing black I have to balance with a bunch of bright color so I can still feel like myself!

This necklace is another Jane.com favorite! I loved that the jewels kind of look like bumblebees {because bee jewelry is my absolute favorite}, and that it was only $8 with free shipping. Say wha?! Plus this dress is an Anthropologie dress sale rack find from last year, a whopping $40. Ladies, I don't mess around when it comes to an awesome bargain buy.

I'm excited for the day off, but now I know school is just going to be that much more intense this week to make up for it. Lame! Hope you all have had a fun weekend! :)

Cat Coat

I picked up this amazing coat from @shopvictoriafarnsworth on Instagram because I knew I just couldn't live without it. It's Banana Republic, with fur, camel coloring, and a price that was absolutely incredible....um, YES. It was my first ever Instagram purchase and I was a little hesitant with how it would all work out. What if it doesn't fit? What if it gets lost in the mail? What if someone else has already claimed it, but I jumped the gun and sent the payment?? {All things that someone who is a littttle bit Type A would worry about...unnecessarily I might add.}

I come home from school to see a big box waiting by the front door for me...I can honestly say that very little tops snail mail and packages waiting for me at home. I rip open the package, throw on the coat and just start petting it like a complete weirdo. I'm in love {again...if you want to be all technical about it, I'll claim Ryan as my first love ;)}

I walk out to show it off to Ryan and friends and what does our friend Cody call it? A cat coat. 'SCUUUSE ME?! {Said it sassy "oh no you didn't" voice with accompanying finger waving.}

Good thing I have insanely HIGH self-esteem because I trotted out on our double date in this beauty and didn't think twice. I'm totes gonna rock my cat coat! MUHAHAHAHA! I showed you! {Not really, cause after the initial mocking, no one cared anymore haha.} Moral of the story is don't listen to your husband or his friends about fashion. The end.

Midway Ice Castles

Back in December I snagged a Groupon for the Midway Ice Castles knowing that it would be a perfect budget friendly date! Especially since it's hard to get myself to go out on dates during the wintertime...cause all I want to do is cozy up in blankets, eat pizza, and watch Netflix. We finally went this last Friday and it was absolutely breathtaking.

Even driving up to Midway was beautiful, I snapped this picture and just enjoyed looking at all the snow capped trees. Sometimes I forget how pretty Utah really is, so it's nice to have these reminders every once in a while!

Ryan was being a rebel and punching some of the icicles...that dork. It was cool to see these manmade ice castles and walk through all the different mazes and crevices they had to offer. At nighttime they have LED lights inside the castles light up to make it even more magical, how cool is that??

We even saw Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from Frozen come to take some pictures, and it just made me wish I was a Disney princess! Although, I do think that I have the whole Sleeping Beauty thing down ;) This is something that I would definitely want to do next winter, it's a good excuse to get out of the house and make the best of the freezing temps here :)
