#NSale Affordable Fall Picks

While I love Nordstrom, some of their items can get a litttle bit pricey. I have a pretty tight budget so I only pick items that are going to have a great cost-per-wear. I'll spend a little more on a pair of boots if it means I'll be wearing them multiple times a week and for a few seasons. All of these items are affordable (other than the OTK boots haha) and on my wish-list for when the public #NSale goes live this Friday!

Francesca's Collections Friends & Family Sale

On August 14th I attended the Friends and Family Sale that all Francesca's locations were hosting, and was so excited to snag something cute on sale before going on vacation! The whole store was decked out in balloons, posters, and there was even cake pops by the cash register for all their customers. Um, so cute?!

I worked at this particular location for about a year and frequent the Orem shop to make sure I always get the cutest new arrivals. Above is my friend and the Assistant Manager, Josee who showed me around the store and helped me pick out an adorable blouse and necklace!

Absolutely EVERYTHING in the store was 25% off, what what?! I love how Francesca's Collections always has these amazing sales, because they really put in the effort to show their customers that they're loved :) Plus being on their email list is the best because I can always plan my seasonal shopping around when they're having a BOGO or discount sale. I can't wait to show off my cute goodies that I picked up from the Friends and Family Sale!

*Gift card compensation was provided by Francesca's. All opinions are always my own!*

Shopping Marathon

We pulled in to Portland around 8pm on Tuesday night, where I promptly konked out on the couch until Ryan woke me up to go to sleep in a bed. Wednesday my sister-in-law Nikole, Ryan's aunt Michelle, and I all had the most intense day of shopping. We seriously hit all the best stores and malls in the Portland area, it was awesome!!

We started off the day with caramel apple spice drinks from Starbucks and some light shopping,  then Michelle brought us to the adorable Grand Central Baking for the most delicious sandwich. It was called the Sas-Squash: maple and sage roasted butternut squash, Fresanero mayo, cheddar cheese on Peasant bread and with a sausage patty. Are you drooling yet? I scarfed that thing down in no time!

{Remixed: Pants // Booties}

We finished off our sandwiches on our way to Buffalo Exchange in Portland, and it was the weirdest dang thing ever {the store, that is}. I totally didn't fit in to the downtown hipster Portland-stereotype {plus there were scary people there that you get with being downtown} and the prices at Buffalo Exchange are ridiculous!! I was super stoked to go because I've heard so many good things, but was totally let down :/ Maybe I'll give the ones in So-Cal a try before I write off the store completely. After our adventure in Downtown Portland we headed back home where I again, totally konked out. Being sick on vacation really harshes my mellow!

Is It Weird?

Is it weird that I:

Don't really like the idea of thrifting?
{It scares me}

That I'm going to Zumba classes & the gym this week so I can get a pair of VS yoga pants that Ryan bribed me with if I get back to working out?
{I've been saying "I gotta start working out again" way too much, so Ryan took matters into his own hands}
That I am just now understanding the idea of investing in expensive and well-made closet pieces?

That I am the last one in the WORLD who has finally bought a chambray shirt?

That I forget I have braces on and accidentally try to take it out thinking it's a retainer?
That I am taking the advice from my 16 year old brother to watch ANTM for some posing inspiration?
{Jesse you skunk}

That I don't know how to freaking curl my hair with a curling iron?

Get mega excited when I have even one new follower?

That I report the number of followers I have to Ryan on a frequent basis, even when it's just one more from the last time I reported it?
{Ryan. I have 155 followers. *Next day*. Ryan, I have 156 followers}
That I have enlisted my hair school friend to "teach me how to do my hair"?
{How have I not learned anything from the past 20 years??}

That I chant to myself "perfect teeth perfect teeth" whenever I want to rip my braces off?

That I'm hopping around for joy like a lunatic at 50 degree weather?
Dress: Banana Republic via Platos Closet//Sweater: Loft//Necklace: Banana Republic//Shoes: Target

Ok, so I have some pretty amazing shopping stories for you real quick!

I got these heels for 8 dollars at Target.
SCORE.

I found not one...but TWO hardly worn Banana Republic dresses IN MY SIZE for 12 DOLLARS A PIECE at Plato's freaking closet. Fate? Well duh.

Happy Monday peeps.
