Packing for a Summer Weekend Getaway & Logan + Lenora Giveaway

We traveled to St. George, Utah this past weekend for our 5 year anniversary. We stayed at this boutique hotel that looked over the entire city and it was magical! The hotel had an amazing pool I wanted to take advantage of so I packed way more swimsuits than I could even wear in one weekend haha :)

I am a chronic over-packer. I pack outfits for every activity we are doing and for any "what if" situations we might encounter. Since it was over 100 degrees the whole time we were there, I planned on packing lightweight shorts, dress, and tees to beat the heat. I definitely had to bring a hat, sunglasses, and tons of sunscreen so I didn't shrivel up under the sun.

When I was packing I used Logan + Lenora bags to keep my beauty products dry and my swimsuits all in one place! I used this Logan + Lenora Diaper clutch, and while I don't have children; this is a super versatile product. I liked how the interior was lined with a waterproof material, so I threw my lotions and sunscreens in the bag in the off-chance that they would leak. (Which they didn't, thankfully!)

I also used the Daytripper Wet + Dry Tote to pack all my swimsuits, and when they were still a bit damp at the end of the trip I threw them in there and left the zipper open for the suits to breathe. Much more classy than throwing them in the plastic trash bag I was originally planning on ;)

These Logan + Lenora bags are sturdy, adorable, and extremely versatile! Perfect for any summer pool, beach, or theme park trip. I have a 15% off + free shipping code for all my readers BREEZYDAYS15. Also, Logan + Lenora wants to give one of my readers a $25 gift card! Treat yo self to these adorable bags, and go over to my Instagram to enter! :)

Learning to Surf in Hanalei Bay

My first time EVER surfing was in Hanalei Bay! We had lessons by this awesome surfer dude, and it was a gorgeous day to be out in the ocean. The scenery was breathtaking :)

The first few times I got up on the surfboard too fast, and fell down. After that I listened to the instructor who kept on telling me to relaaaaxxxx, I started to get the hang of it! Nothing like learning how to surf in Kaua'i!

Luau Festive

This is the outfit I wore when exploring the PCC! I loved wearing my happy yellow Flor de Luz blouse because it's comfortable, festive, and hid that luau food baby after eating all that delicious taro island bread pudding :)

I picked up this purse/backpack from Target right before we flew to Hawaii because I didn't want to lug around a heavy purse the entire trip. This backpack was the right size to hold everything I needed, but made me edit what I really needed to lug around. Plus hot pink? Legit.

Isn't the handmade embroidery to die for on this blouse?! Also, I didn't wear much jewelry most of the trip besides some simple bangles and necklace. It added that extra glitz, but wasn't too heavy or in the way!

Pearl Harbor

It's crazy that we've been back from Hawaii for only a week! I feel like it was a lifetime ago. The first day we flew into the Honolulu airport on the island of Oahu, and drove right over to Pearl Harbor because it was so close to the airport.

It was a gorgeous day, the surroundings beautiful, and the area felt so sacred. Watching all the videos about the day Pearl Harbor was bombed and reading all the names of lives that were lost were very humbling. It made me feel so proud to be an American, and to be part of such a great country.

After our visit to Pearl Harbor we ate at Zippys (plate lunch is delishhh), and started to make our way to the house waiting for us on the other side of the island near Laie!

Prep for Summer with European Wax Center

This past weekend I visited the European Wax Center in Draper, UT to prep for my vacation. I used to frequent the salon for waxes growing up because I was constantly at the beach or pool! Since moving to Utah I'm unfortunately not in the sun as much, so I went on the search for a highly rated salon or wax center and found EWC. It is such a pain to shave every single day, which is why I visited the European Wax Center so they could help me out!

I scheduled a Brazilian wax so I could feel confident in my swimsuits and save myself time during the trip. While getting a Brazilian wax is notoriously known for not being comfortable, my esthetician Carolina made it as comfortable and fast as possible. Which I definitely appreciated!

European Wax Center uses an exclusive comfort wax, it's a hard stripless wax which is surprisingly gentle. EWC is the only company in the WORLD who uses this type of wax! After the waxing session Carolina applied the Ingrown Hair Serum which everyone in the Draper location raved about, saying it was their best product. It prevents bumps, breakouts, and irritation after a waxing session. Ummm, pretty much amazing!

EWC offers year-long wax passes or various packages to make it more convenient and affordable for your hair-removal needs. They even have a payment plan option, which makes it easier on your wallet! Make sure to visit European Wax Center before your spring/summer vacations!

Hawaii Starter Kit

I probably mention this too much on social media, but I'm going to Hawaii in April for a family vacation and I'm so stoked! I've started purchasing warm weather pieces so I can start to put together a fun and functional mini-wardrobe. These are all pieces I have for my vacation and I'm wanting to get the swimsuit (it's too cute!)

1. English Garden Ruched One-Piece: Just found this site Simons and I am floored with how many cute and affordable pieces that are on the site! This floral one-piece would be perfect for learning to surf :)

2. Floppy Hat: I love this one with the fun pink stripe! Gotta protect that sensitive skin.

3. Pom-Pom Trim Printed Beach Playsuit: I have this romper and it is the CUTEST THING EVER. It is so flowy and ummm POM POMS. It'll be great for a quick cover-up to wear around town.

4. Palm Print with Pom-Pom Trim: Yet again, POM POMS. This high-waisted loose cut shorts are comfortable and will look great with my all black one-piece swimsuit.

5. Sun Bum Sunscreen: This stuff not only smells good but also protects my skin from becoming a lobster!

6. Rainbow Braided Leather Flip-Flops: I'm still in the process of wearing these flip-flops in, but I've heard it is totally worth it. I'm excited to get them all worn-in perfectly to wear them all summer.

Hooray for almost spring!!!

Time For the Montana Video Montage

This is the culmination of our entire Montana family trip! Of course the boys were not very happy with my "constant" video and picture taking, but they got over it after I finished this video. While I'm not a videographer professional, I'm pretty proud of this project and excited to amp up my skillage! The goal is with every family trip that we embark on, I put together a video to commemorate our visit :)

Floating Blackfoot River

After relaxing at the hot springs, the next day we made our way towards Missoula which is where Ryan's aunt & uncle live! They were so nice to not only host us in their home, but to take us rafting down Blackfoot River.

Uncle Terry made enough sandwiches for the whole crew and Cousin Caroline made some pretty amazing chocolate chip zucchini bread, YUM. If you couldn't' tell already, we've eaten pretty dang well this entire trip ;)

Ryan pulled me into the river and it was COLD. Luckily it was still sunny out when he dunked me because part of the time it rained, so I dried off pretty quick! I helped paddle on the raft while Jesse tried out both the kayak and raft. It was about a 4 hour float, and it was SO much fun!! Later that night we went shooting (my first time!), ate some delish  pizza, then got a good nights sleep before our flight the next day. Thanks Terry & Delaine for hosting us! :)

UT--->CA--->MT

This week I have been Instagramming hardcore (if you haven't noticed) because there is very rare service/reception throughout Montana. Plus I figured I could give you the down-low when I returned. So here I am, down-lowing it up ;) Ryan, Jesse, and myself drove from UT down to CA a week ago from Friday and spent a couple days hangin' out in good ole SoCal until embarking on the first family trip that we've had in a looooong time.

We do lots as a family, but it's mostly trading off traveling between SoCal or Provo to be with one another. This was our first destination trip since I was in 8th grade and we all went to Cancun (obviously sans Ryan...cause that would be awks). Crazy! My dad is a huge outdoorsy guy and with Ryan being from Montana we thought it'd be fun to check out the best his home state has to offer.

We flew out of LAX, which is a scary busy airport btw, and flew on a crowded Allegiant plane to reach our destination at Glacier Airport in Kalispell. We were starving once we got off the plane! During our trip Urbanspoon was heaven sent, we found so many delicious places to eat in whatever city we were in! While Ryan recommended Second Street Pizza in Whitefish, many of the other places we ate were solely based off Urbanspoon percentage ratings.

With how massive the pizzas were and the delicious crust, our hunger was quickly taken care of! I loved how quaint and homey the restaurant felt, because you could tell the workers recognized a majority of the customers coming in. I guess this is what a small town feels like!

I swear the entire trip there was always at least ONE person in our group wearing some form of BYU gear, which was hilarious because random people would ask "Oh, are you LDS? That's cool." Then they'd smile and walk off! Random. Also, just check out the scenery in the pic below. Gorgeous much?! After pizza we started heading towards our hotel just a few minutes away, but I'll save all that jazz for the next post! Nice to be back my friends :)
