NYE 2013, What About the Young Marrieds?

In anticipation for our sparkly holiday, I did up my nails with some fun glitter polish, got an awesome sequin skirt from Frannies, and was SO PUMPED to get dressed up for some stellar NYE party.

First off, let's look at the options for our lovely community:
1.) Dance party extravaganza at UVU {I didn't even go to those parties when I was single! Too much butt grinding/sweatiness for my taste}
2.) Cocktail attire party at Spark on University Ave. in Provo {a good contender}
3.) A "family friendly" party at the Provo Towne Mall {um, gross}

The only option I even half considered was Spark.
I looked online to find, to my dismay, that tickets were 20 bucks a pop...
 drinks and parking not included.

All I want is a party where I can:
be married and it not be weird to go to parties out on the town, dress up in ridiculously sparkly clothes, dance around to awesome music, eat mouth watering food, drink fruity {non-alcoholic} drinks, and party with friends into the new year.

Is that so hard to ask for?!
I know I'm married and all, but does that seriously mean that I'm doomed to be part of a wet blanket-boardgame playing couple at home on NYE for the rest of my life??
Out of frustration for the lack of bangin' parties and in defiance of lame-ace Provo...

I still got dressed up and went out on the town.

On the town
AKA
In-N-Out & Smiths.

Even though I looked like a dork walking into Smiths all glammed up,
 I had a grand time with the husband scarfing down burgers and toasting with our Martinell's  :)

Just warning you, NYE 2014....
I know better.

I feel ya on the lack of events for young marrieds! We are trying to plan more fun things with our friends. I don't want to be a wet blanket either! Although for the record, yes, I was playing board games on NYE - but with other young marrieds and some singles, and then we had a dance party when the ball dropped. So I feel like I missed nothing : ) Next year, though, I'm thinking about throwing a big bash!

1. You are just too adorable!

2. I dislike NYE for the fact that everything is super expensive to get tickets to & it includes a bunch of super drunk people acting like fools.

3. I'm loving that you went to In-N-Out in your fancy clothes!

4. Come to SoCal for NYE 2014 and go to Disneyland!! =)

I knowww! I was in the same boat as you. We ended up going to some friends house, hanging out, eating, (playing board games) lighting fireworks and toasting to the new year. We had a ton of fun though! I think as long as you get a good party group together, even if you're playing games, you can have a good time. :)

Move to Houston next year and we'll throw our own partay!!
